Auditions for Beauty and the Beast

Who: All dancers, also Ogiue
What: The audition day is here. Everyone gets to show their stuff.
Where: The gymnasium and surrounding areas
When: Saturday afternoon (Backdated)
Warnings: None I can see.

Colette wasn't used to having to compete with other people - she wasn't used to having something she wanted be the same as something someone else wanted. She had taken one section of the barre to stretch and attempt to warm up - her feet felt like they kept tangling around each other, even though she was sure there were no loose laces on her shoes.

She swallowed, looking down at her feet for a minute. Lord, I know it's selfish of me to ask this and I know you probably have your reasons for making me so clumsy, but I really want this part. She ended her silent prayer by bending down to touch her toes, something she had never been able to do before starting ballet.

Colette knew she'd come far. She just hoped it was far enough.

Kaguya stood there awkwardly at a barre, trying to lift up her leg over it to stretch...

... but she just wasn't very limber. Chances are she's going to fall over if she keeps trying. It didn't help that she wasn't particularly tall, either.

Really, the "princess" didn't stand a chance...

In his usual style, Kittan burst through the doors with a grand entrance.

Kittan had studied up for once, actually coming up with something to use for his audition that he was obviously confident would wow Fakir...even though he most likely had the part of Beast in the bag.

But still, he joined Ballet with the intent to give it his all and do the impossible...and he wasn't about to start slacking off now.

"Are you motherfuckers ready to BUST THIS WIDE OPEN??" he asked in a very high volume of voice, tossing his bag to the side and beginning his stretches.

Kittan DID seem rather into this whole affair. He fully intended to show everyone how much he'd improved over the past month or so. He still wasn't anywhere near the best dancer...but he still had enough experience under his belt to be proud of.

There he was. Fakir'd expected his entrance, in the same manner that he always did. That Kittan was so excited to come to ballet class was plenty enough for Fakir. He waved, nodded. "I trust King Kittan will show to us something incredible!" he replied.

It was true-- Kittan had started pretty awkward, and had started because he was the kind to "do the impossible," at a school where nobody would touch it. Now, he was rather soundly thrashing the basic techniques of ballet, at a pretty good form, and was already physically fit to begin with. There was a sort of proud to which Fakir was largely unaccustomed, but he felt it here.

Already he was cycling in his head through pairings for him-- Collette would make a good Beauty if she could be counted on to not trip, Sanae was a steadily-improving dancer, dare he say slightly better then Collette, and then, of course, Kaguya had joined the class specifically to dance with Kittan, and he felt that was both romantic and foolish.

He nodded, a smile playing across his face.

"Yer damn right!" Kittan exclaimed confidently, moving to properly begin his stretching

In all honesty, Kittan wasn't quite as confident as he made himself out to be. Either way, he'd be giving it his all...even with a few new tricks he'd studied up on.
