What: A long-overdue screaming match
Elena stared at her computer monitor, unseeing. The article about Zero and Kallen splashed across it, but it was clear that she had stopped reading a while ago. She was willing to bet Lelouch had called the reporters - it was the kind of thing that would help ruin the company.
So is getting sued, her brain supplied, and her jaw clenched.
The only thing she had been able to do to - to cover her debts had played right into Lelouch's hands. It was a smear the company didn't need, but would probably work out beautifully in his favor. She had done her job. She had made sure Lelouch looked like the villain.
She had put her oldest friend in jail.
Elena propped her head against her hand. "Motherfucker," she said, raking her fingers through her hair. "Motherfucking bastard."
Lelouch had wanted her at the mine. Had wanted her specifically. So she'd gone, and... "Fuck." She shoved back from her chair, closing the tab with a glare. Her eyes lit on her and Lelouch's conversation on the network and she closed that tab as well.
She didn't storm out of her room - she was calmer than that, she didn't want to start this off by yelling. She'd done more than enough of that when she was concussed and stupid. But she knocked on his door with more force than she had in weeks. "You gonna talk to me to my face?" she asked mildly.
