"Aiya..? Terry-kun aru ka?" Jam could tell who it was just by the sound of the voice, but it was so very unusual for him to come off sounding so upset, nevermind that he had apparently shown up at her door unannounced. Was there something wrong? Some assassin or another and he was in need of help? Jam was dressed down, but she rushed to the door at the urgent, almost frantic voice of her friend.
Opening the door, she worriedly got a peek at his face, about to ask him what in the world was the matter.
Terry wasted no time, throwing a punch through the opened door. He aimed high, just missing her face, but followed the momentum and stepped forward into the apartment. Whirling around, he swept low with a left backhand, preparing for a counterattack, but not hesitating in carrying through with a midsection right punch. His eyes stayed hidden by the brim of his hat, though his mouth was still set in a grimace.
"Huh... 'fraid of this." He drove forward, leading with his shoulder.
Jam's eyes widened as she saw the fist come whiffing past her face, head jerking away to the side just as it passed. "Wh-!? What are yo-" She didn't have time to finish asking though, and instead had to jump backwards to just miss the punch that followed, which clipped her hip. "Terry-kun, what the heck are you-!?" She tried to ask again, but he came charging in further before she could finish once more. She didn't understand what was going on, standing tensed with a shocked and worried expression. His own face was still hidden, she couldn't read what his expression was.
"Come on!" Terry slammed his body forward, performing a shoulder charge right into Jam. He followed with a series of punches, before dropping to the floor, sweeping her ankles with a kick.
He rolled back away, readjusting his cap. His eyes remained hidden as he did, but his body language said that he was just getting started. He drew his fists up before charging again, this time leading with a punch that almost carried him behind it.
"'Come on'? What do you mean, 'come on' aru ka!?" Jam asked, getting panicked herself, finally putting up her guard, though half-heartedly out of confusion. What in the world had gotten into him? She blocked the punches as best she could, then tried to hop back to dodge the sweep but got clipped again. In order to make up for it, she twisted her body as she fell, trying to land in a position where she could more easily defend from an oncoming attack. As his next charge came, she didn't try to stand; instead, she tried to duck below his punch and roll away to right herself again. It seemed he wasn't going to listen to words, but she didn't want to attack him until she understood why he was going after her.
This wasn't working. Terry couldn't put his heart into the plan as much as he'd like, and he could tell that Jam wasn't going to fight back... he had to do something drastic. He'd hate himself later... probably as much as she'd hate him for this, too.
Without a word, he leaped at her, planting a kick at her midsection, trying to provoke her into action. The sooner she responded, the sooner she'd understand...
The kick hit its mark solidly, sending Jam tumbling back and crashing into the back of her couch. She hesitated for a moment, gritting her teeth. She didn't want to fight him. This was stupid... but she wasn't gonna take this lying down.
Getting up again, her eyes narrowed. "So that's how you wanna play, huh aru ne? Fine, we'll play rough-!" She muttered, before dashing at him with a solid kick to his solar plexus.
Opening the door, she worriedly got a peek at his face, about to ask him what in the world was the matter.
