WHO: May, Duo, Dizzy, Lelouch, Kula, Trowa, Jellyfish NPC's
WHEN: Monday, May 5th- after school
WHERE: Clairbourn Food Pantry and Shelter
WHAT: May's 15th birthday party, yaaaay! \o/
The entire cafeteria of the Clairbourn Food Pantry and Shelter was far more bright and cheery than one might expect today, covered in streamers and balloons and other party decorations. Apart from the decorations themselves, another distinct difference was noticeable that day- the room was filled with teenage girls, many whom were regulars here all the same, but all of them gathered on this day for the celebration of their leader.
The matron of the Jellyfish Pirates and the proprietor of the shelter, Mrs. Leap was a large but kindly old woman; her shoulder-length, snow white hair curled at the ends under a chef's hat matched by her apron, which was worn over a purple dress. Gentle eyes sparkled behind tiny wireframe spectacles perched on her nose. She was almost like one would imagine Mrs. Claus, and was certainly as jolly and generous as a Santa, bustling about the room to make sure all the girls present felt at home.
Just under a dozen or so girls in particular were all seated in a group at one of the tables closest to the kitchen at the front, what looked to be the main table; one lavender-pigtailed girl in a rather girly and silly tutu gave a loud giggle at a joke cracked by a goggle and scarf-wearing girl working on a piece of machinery. Silently, a green-haired girl whose eyes could not be seen listened to the mumblings of an eyepatched blunette. A black cat wound between the legs of a proper-looking and well-groomed blonde, before jumping into the lap of a girl with freckles splashed across her face. All, it seemed, were waiting...
"I'M HEEERE~!" called a voice from the entrance to the cafeteria, and suddenly there was a happy bustle, the brunette in orange entering with a bright smile at seeing all her friends gathered for her birthday. "Sorry I'm late, we had this epic journey across town and it took a little longer than I thought," May apologized, dropping an anchor half her size but double her weight onto the floor against the wall with a solid thud, and padding over to give a big hug to Leap. "Thanks, Mrs. Leap, it all looks so great!" she beamed, before looking over her shoulder and waving in the boy that had entered with her. "C'mon, Duey, this time I can properly introduce everyone ya missed before!"
It didn't look like any of her other guests were here yet, but there were enough people for her to keep busy with already, so that was ok- school had only gotten out a little while ago so they were probably still on their way, or going home to get ready first.
