Hearing her nickname, Orihime glanced to her left and spots Tohru. "Ohayouuuu!" she returned the Japanese greeting. Why not? She was fluent, thanks to her big brother, and sometimes it just feels more natural to say. There have been times where she caught herself saying 'yosh!' and 'mou...' too.

At the mention of peach jam, Orihime's eyes lit up. "Tohru's peach jam! LUCKY!" she clapped her palms together. The girl was an incredible cook, far, far better than Orihime could ever hope to be. And there were cookies to go with it? What more could anyone ask for?

The sound of footsteps and labored breathing caught her attention, and she swiveled around to catch a glimpse of Rinali. "Hm...?" She thought she'd seen the dark-haired girl in the hallways before, but couldn't recall having spoken to her in person. But Orihime always thought she'd seemed nice over the communications network. It would be good to have someone like that along on the beach trip. "You're right on time, actually. I think you might even be early!" she laughed, hoping to put her at ease. "Are you okay?" Wow, their backpacks matched...!

"Y...yea...I'll...I'll be fine..." she said, still trying her best to catch her breath. She took note that she needed to exercise more.

"I'm...really early? I'm surprised...that I made it one time." She slowly stood herself upright and slung her backpack over one shoulder, opening it up to start digging around inside.

"I guess..I'd better take my medicine...before we head out. Are we going to stop for breakfast any time soon? I have to take this stuff a certain amount of time before I eat food..."

Medicine...? Was she sick? Orihime very nearly piped up about the wasabi balls, since they seemed to be very popular.

But on the other hand, it would make a bad first impression if she burned Rinali's face off with all that wasabi. So what to do? Her gaze fell to the square of toast she still had in her hand, and she beamed. Toast! Toast was normal! And probably a good thing to take with medicine!

"Here you go!" Orihime sprang to the rescue, presenting the toast proudly in both hands. "It's whole wheat, so it's extra nutritious! Hopefully it'll help you feel better very soon!"

Rinali stopped digging in her bag long enough to stare at the square of toast...for some reason looking oddly confused.

"...oh! I'm sorry I must have just been talking without realizing it! Hahaha..." she laughed nervously as she played with her left side pigtail with her left hand...a nervous reflex she had.

"It's okay...I have to take the medicine about an hour before I eat anything. Thank you very much for the offer...it's very sweet of you." She gave Orihime a warm smile before turning back to her bag to continue digging for her medicine and bottled water.

Ooooooooo. Orihime formed a small 'o' mouth of understanding. "I see!" she said, clenching a fist to show that she did, indeed, catch Rinali's meaning. "An hour, huh? You should ride with Tohru, then! This toast won't taste very good in an hour, but she made some really good snacks. That'd be the best kind of breakfast!" Nothing wrong with cookies and jam, right? It couldn't be worse than, say, Cap'n Crunch or Cookie Crisp.

"Anyway, it's nice to meet you! I'm Orihime!" she introduced herself with a sunny grin, tipping her head to the side as she held her hands in front of her.

Rinaly smiled happily. "You were very nice to me on the "network" thing! It's nice to meet you!"

She gave a shallow bow, which was somewhat labored thanks to her backpack.

"I suppose I should ride with Miss Tohru then, since I'll need to eat an hour from when I finally take my medication...which reminds me."

She resumed digging through her bag searching.
