Bitter-sweet, my favourite kind of M/L fic! And I loved the imagery, in particular of Linc grinning while getting fucked, until he's not.

I really love how you've painted Michael with this line, and the wonderfully twisted contradictions in their relationship.
in Michael’s book, Lincoln never stayed long enough in the first place anyway, because Lincoln’s absence fueled Michael’s love and desire, and his presence never managed to quiet the fire.

I like many kinds of M/L, but I may have a soft spot for the bitter-sweet variety too.

Michael usually looks like the needier one in their relationship - incestuous take or brotherly one - so I can picture Lincoln acting a bit sassy until realizing that, damn, he can feel that way too.

Thanks a lot for reading and for the comment. It's nice to have new people around, especially since the show ended a little while ago and the fandom isn't very... lively :)

At first glance yes, but what I really like about M/L is how they're so tangled up in each other that neither of them can really function properly without the other, hence the bittersweet!

And thanks for the welcome :)

So happy you posted a M/L fic!!!! Love pre season, angsty but hot fics for them and this was spot on.

Its so cool that people like yourself keep posting PB fic 5 years on especially when its of this quality. I check for updates from you every week :) .

Angsty is appropriate given what their relationship is, isn't it? I'm glad you liked it!

And aww, thank you :D I'm afraid I haven't been very good at posting new stuff since the beginning of the year. I've been working on a gen/het never-ending long fic. I tend to focus on it and don't write as many PWPs as I used to...

Thanks for letting me know and for commenting on this one. It's very quiet in Prison-Break-land these days so I'm always happy to see someone dropping by :)

A Clare de lune long fic would make my month!

Would you recommend any other writers? So many fics seem to have disappeared from LJ :(

Aww, thank you :) I hope you're not in a hurry, though, because I've been working on it for a ridiculous amount of time, and I'm not done yet :-p (And on a side note, it's absolutely not a Michael/Lincoln.)

Many fics have vanished :( But for Michael/Lincoln ones, I'd start with halfshellvenus (who's still around), callmetofu and foophile (haven't 'seen' them in a while, especially callmetofu, but their fics are still available in their LJ). For gen and various pairings happywriter06 and if you like Michael/Sara, msgenevieve of course.

I hope that it helps :)

ETA: also mooyoo / Hudson and deadbeat_nymph

*nods* Lincoln is less obvious and open about it than Michael, but he needs Michael (almost?) as much as Michael needs him.

(Oh, look! It only took me two months and a half to reply to your comment *hangs head in shame*)

Thanks a lot for reading and commenting, and so glad you liked it :D

Michael wasn’t sure whether he loved him for or despite what he was.
This was my favorite line here, because that is so much of Lincoln almost regardless of who you are. His pluses are also his minuses, two sides of the same coin.

The last line was wonderful, and gives such a sense of that desperate waiting, always waiting, in the long in-between so rarely broken by brief satisfaction.

Oh yes, whoever you are, you can understand Michael's affection/love and his frustration with Lincoln.

I apologize for the very late reply and thank you for your comment. Yay for you enjoying this \o/
