I may have a soft spot for writing them in a doomed and twisted yet inescapable relationship. My first M/L fic, Twilight, was like that, and it seems I often come back to that theme. On the other hand, it's an incestuous relationship, not something that's supposed to be happy and carefree even though light or fluffier PWP can be fun to write and read too :-p

And the only person who could make Michael 'let go' of his control freak tendencies, are Lincoln.

Over the course of the show, he opens a bit to Sara and to Sucre, but Lincoln's still the one who knows him inside and out, and knows which buttons to push.

The 'Mikey' thing... I have a tendency to use it when I want Lincoln to sound big brotherly and/or sarcastic, both in gen and slashy fic. I'm glad it works for you :) (And ahem, every now and then, in slashy fics, sarcastic Linc uses 'cupcake', go figure why *shakes head*)

Thank you for reading and for the lovely feedback. And Happy New Year to you too!

Hot and disturbing, in all the best M/L ways. The sense of it all being wrong and doomed is all over this, and yet also the certainty that the two of them will keep coming back to this again and again, so long as they are in each others' orbits.

It isn't just about sex, no matter what they tell themselves, and it it never will be. The thread that binds the two of them together will always unravel that lie.

I think it's at least the second time that I use the they don't this for the cheap kick of it, they can't help it argument - the other one is in a Michael/Sara/Lincoln fic, with Michael thinking that Sara must have figured this out - so I'm rehashing, but the whole thing being wrong and doomed sounds like such an evidence...

It isn't just about sex

This is funny because I've written a small PWP for rounds_of_kink that I should post next week, in which Lincoln tries to convince himself that a massive slip they have is just about "crazy, sickening, unnatural lust" *g*

So glad you enjoyed this :)

"It shocks him how much ist thrills him", that is the essence of their story. But I have to admit that ist doesn' shock me the slightest Anemone how much it thrills me! *ggg*

This was a wonderful read, and it totally deserved to be the first fic ever to be read on my new (yet old) tablet. :D What better way to christen ist than with a bittersweet Michael/Lincoln fic written by YOU?!

... Ahem ... typos included! Thank you, autocorrect. Obviously the LJ app goes without an edit button, hmpf... Sorry.

Thank you so much :) And maybe there were less, ahem, naughty ways to fic-christen the old-new tablet, but well :-p

(Auto-correct is handy... when it works correctly. I guess that it changes 'is' into 'ist', but I must admit I'm still wondering about what 'Anemone' is about *g*)
