This is really, really good, dear. Just a few words to characterize each one of them, I was taken back, I really was. It's been so long since I've written these characters, or really even read them...and this was just perfect.

None of them were the happiest seven-year-olds, were they? Even unfailing optimist Sucre had that pendejo of a cousin Hector to deal with.

I think little LJ's birthday and Lincoln's weird obsession with cranes were my favourite bits amongst many favourite bits. ♥

Lovely...and you do, of course, get an Origami Crane Banner. How are they coming along?!!! *g*

Yay, glad you liked it!

Nope, not super-happy, but at least, Michael Jr.'s birthday is more joyful. He breaks the cycle of sad or 'meh' birthdays.
Lincoln has a weird obsession with cranes. My weird obsession is to remind that the crane thing initially came from Lincoln :-p

*pokes tongue* They tried to deliver the ;sdjkl,! software today, but I wasn't home - you know, being at work, that place where I'm supposed to go every now and then - and they didn't leave the package in the mailbox. So I'll retrieve it in a couple of days. Yes, I could use the stuff I already have, but I want to play with my new toyyyy! OTOH, I don't have the time to play with it before the weekend, anyway...

Of course I liked it! Did you ever doubt my wonderful taste?!! :) *hugs you*

Yes, Michael Jr.'s birthday broke the sad cycle despite Uncle Linc's weird obsession with Origami cranes and even though he didn't have a whole bunch of hugely expensive gifts (which are the bane of kids' birthdays everywhere!) what he did get were the most awesomest gifts in the universe!!

You seem to be jinxed with that software. Why on earth couldn't they leave it in your mailbox?!! I know you want to play with the software and you still have time (more in email to follow!). :)

Seven seventh birtdays for the seventh anniversary! ;)

Somehow I found Sara's the saddest one, until I read the out-take, that is. But luckily some of the b-day kids have happy moment, too, like they should! Each of the seven plus one passages is a spot-on characterisation in just a few words. Perfect! And a hugue "awwwwwww" for blueberry pancakes! ♥

Maybe because Sara's seems a happy one at first sight, but is not if you scratch the surface the tiniest bit?

T-Bag's is... another can of worms. I wrote his before realizing I only wanted - and could only have - the Burrows-Scofield-Tancredi and their loved ones. I'm afraid T-Bag doesn't match that description ^__^

And yes, it ends on a happy birthday with Michael Jr. - sorry for the not-subtle-at-all symbolism, but hey, I want my not-too-bad ending ;)

*hugs*

Well, I'm slightly in denial about the ending, so I guess I have a bunch of alternate canon fics :-p I'm hapy you enjoyed this one!
