The tattoo-removal was like a stab into the show's stomach. From that moment on it was like slowly bleeding itself to death...

The fic is great, though. Just as canon should have been.

I don't even know why I felt the need to say that I didn't like this twist because I tend to take for granted that anyone watching the show a bit more than casually of course thinks it was a bad idea.

I'm glad you liked the fic, though. I think it's the first time I've acknowledged the tattoo removal: usually, I just don't mention the tattoo/no tattoo aspect at all...

I also really hated the tattoo removal part. It just seemed so incredibly unnecessary - they had used long sleeves and high necked shirts to cover Wentworth for 3 seasons. It just seemed like laziness on the show's behalf.
Lovely piece though :) I love how how much depth of meaning and emotion your writing has.

Yes, "unnecessary" summarizes it pretty well. "Dumb" is fitting too :-p (Can you tell that I'm still bitter about the whole thing?)
That said, I'm happy you enjoyed the fic, even though we agree the twist it's based upon shouldn't have existed in the first place.

Bitter? Noo, of course not ;)
I also added you as a friend, I hope that's okay?

I can be petty. On the other hand, their "idea" deserves buckets of pettiness ;)

I don't friend back new people right away - not that I make a lot of flocked entries anyway - but if you don't mind this, sure, it's perfectly okay :) (If you prefer mutual friending and rather unfriend me for now, no worries either)

I hated the tattoo removal also. It didn't make sense in the plot (and I think it's fair to say the show's fans were very generous in what we'd accept as "making sense in the plot"). I took it as a glaring reminder that we were watching a show where actors could begin making demands if certain job requirements began getting on their nerves. And I don't ever want that illusionary veil lifted.

A fic like this helps lower it back down. I can look through Lincoln's eyes and be unsettled by the removal, not quite understand it, make guesses that may or may not skirt close to the truth, and in the end settle for re-claiming Michael on my own terms.

I love all of the conflicting emotions, the stolen moment/playing with discovery, and how seamlessly it all fits in with season 4. Maybe you could write your way across the season and fix more bumps? :D In any case, thanks for fixing this one. (Side note-->the thought of getting, let alone removing, all that ink makes me SQUIRM...and not in the good way. Ouch, ouch, ouch.)

It was unrealistic (even by Prison Break's standards), but worse than that, it didn't serve any purpose other than allowing the actor to roll his sleeves up his forearms, and it didn't make any sense: why bother with the pain, the marks, etc. for something that initially was supposed to be a one-shot mission? And it took screen time that could have been more cleverly used.
I don't even think it pertained to the job requirements category since the so-called tattoo could easily be hidden. It looks like grudge, and like an actor throwing a tantrum. I don't care if actors throw tantrums; I just don't need to know and see the consequences.

I probably "mary-sued" a bit here, in the sense that the fic lays down what I think the tattoo removal may look like. Hopefully it's still coherent with Lincoln's character. Even with the slash goggles off, I want to think that if the writers had taken the time to address the issue, he would have reacted one way or another.

Fixing more S4 bumps? But it would be a full time job! ;)

Thanks a lot!

Sometimes, LJ is just hungry like that; at least, it didn't send me a notification and make look for something it had chewed and swallowed down. No worries, anyway, if it was to your liking, it's all that matters :) Thanks for dropping by - again.

Wanting the tattoo gone is the only thing I don't like WM for!

But I love that you made something smutty and incesty of it's passing! ;)

I usually don't care enough about the actors themselves (I'm a bad fangirl) to have opinions about this kind of thing, but well, it looked petty and whiny.

Is there anything M/L that I can't make smutty and incesty? ;)

As much as I love Mr Miller I have to agree with you!

Now let me think. Okay, I've thought. No.

Hehe!!
