Seriously?

LJ has implemented a new feature: you can now crosspost your entries and comments on other people's entries - even the flocked posts - on Facebook and Twitter. Aren't you happy to know that comments on your flocked content may end up over there? No? Really? How weird *ironic*

- LJ announcement
- Link to disable the feature so that you do not crosspost accidentally
- Script to get rid of the Facebook/Twitter checkboxes
- Poll to express how much you enjoy the idea

Courtesy of becca_radcgg via domfangirl: this should prevent the facebook/twitter checkboxes from displaying:

⇒ Go to Custom CSS, paste or add to your layout .b-repost-item {display:none} into the Custom stylesheet box and save changes.

NB: This trick only impacts your layout. If someone has turned on the feature by default, their comments will still be cross-posted (eta: except on FO entries).
Apparently, you need to paste the line at the top of your custom layout. I tried adding it at the end and it did nothing. At the top, works like a charm ♥

Although I don't use it, I've had a Dreamwidth account for a while. If you're already on my flist here and I find you on DW, chances are I'll add you over there too, just in case ;) I also have a few invite codes to give out. Just send me a PM if you're interested.
