Even when you're writing naughtily there is definitely an element of This could have happened. We didn't see what went on during the trip on that freighter!

And the hint of something happening years before? That could well have happened too!

And then, on the morning after, deafening silence, because how the hell are you supposed to broach this kind of the subject?

You are so brilliant at this kind of thing!!

Liked it very much!

Sometimes, those PTB left convenient holes in their timeline ^__^

I've totally under-used the trip on the freighter in my fics. Besides this one, I think I've only written another story on board, It's Those Hands. It's a sad, sad overlook, because a few days locked together in a cabin...? Too bad Sara literally missed the ship.

I have a soft spot for the "it happened once before" thing. I guess it's because, although the desire is here, they fight the dirty-wrong-bad-ness of the relationship but can "relapse" at any moment. Which may or may not happen here, by the way, since I've been bad and left the ending open :-p

Thank you, Foxy :)

I'm going for some more catching up...

Sometimes, those PTB left convenient holes in their timeline ^__^

Which quite a lot of people filled quite beautifully...usually you and foophile!! :)

I do remember "It's Those Hands" since I definitely have a fetish for those long, elegant fingers...OMG!!! Don't get me going on them...And yes, it is a pity that Sara missed the ship boat entirely!! *giggles*

You're right though; so much could be done with the trip on the freighter and perhaps there should be a comm...freighterpr0n or something?!!

they fight the dirty-wrong-bad-ness of the relationship but can "relapse" at any moment.

That is definitely a good thing to have a soft spot for and it would be wonderful if it happened here. Like they might unfreeze and really go for it!! Hmmmm...there's a nice thought!

You're welcome, as always, dear. :)

I was about to mock say "Really? But there aren't even handcuffs in that story." But there are handcuffs in that story, although it's mostly Lincoln fantasizing. How sad is it that I don't even remember what I wrote? *shakes head*

Thinking of it, I had a scene on the freighter in Equilibrium, but there is hardly any smut in that story.

there's a nice thought!
*fights it, fights it* I don't want to write a sequel. Well, I do *g* but not really because I want to keep my open ending. That said, a sequel may also be about Michael shouting at Lincoln, angry that Linc's waited so long - not to mention Sara's entrance in Michael's life - to start someting :-p

A kind of I dallied with Sara because I thought you didn't want me? With anger? I like the sound of that...doesn't need to be a sequel though; it could take place in Panama, possibly? On the Christina Rose? Even though we love freighter!pr0n!! ;)

Hm. Depends on what "dally with" means :-p I'm (also) a Michael/Sara shipper: no way I give the impression he settles for Sara for lack of anything better (aka Lincoln). It would cheapen both relationships, with Sara and with Lincoln. Also, I like the ansgt of Michael unable to choose between them.

I am a Michael/Sara shipper, even if I give the impression I'm not! It's just sometimes I have my slash/brothercest hat on and anything is fair game! *g* But I do understand not cheapening both relationships. And I also like the angst of Michael not being able to choose!

*nods* It's not mutually exclusive, is it? It just demands a bit of work, especially when both are OTP :-p

About the brothercest hat or goggles... I'm rewatching the first season, and today, it was Brother's Keeper (the flasback ep). When Bad Guy orders Lincoln to 'kill' Steadman in exchange for the money Lincoln owes so that Bad Guy doesn't have to "find out if there's someone in [his] life [Linc] will do something for", he doesn't really sound as if he was talking of LJ.

In fact, I'm not even sure it's because of the brothercest goggles because the first time I've seen the episode, I already thought it was about Michael (and brothercest-wise, I was pure and innocent, back then ;)). Not that Lincoln wouldn't have done it to keep LJ safe, obviously, but for me, this is not what was directly implied here: the scene goes back and forth between Michael & Vee and Linc & Bad Guys - LJ is not even in this episode.

I must watch that episode again to be sure but I do sort of remember thinking that it might be Michael and like you it was before the idea of brothercest really took hold!! And yes, no LJ in the episode either so...

I love Saturday's Rambles...Any Day of the Week Rambles is fine too! ;)
