*facepalm* The "moar read and review" was one of the things I whished for in a entry I posted a couple of weeks ago, at the end of a bad day after a bad week in a bad month - and the previous ones hadn't been stellar either. I also mentioned wine and Nutella in it, hence the reference here ;) That said, like most fic writers and even when feeling okay, I never mind moar read and review :-p
I agree with you about more people reading than we - not just I - imagine. It's always the case: I used to have a website and could see the gap between reads and comments, and still now at pbfic.net. As I agree with you about the embarrassment factor: I was like that too, not only with the peculiar pairings, but with pretty much any R or NC-17 rated fics. I think I've written so many smutty stories by now that sometimes, I just forget about this aspect, but I am aware of it.
And because I agree with you about the embarrassment factor...
And I promised myself that once reading the third part of Blue Moon, I would leave a review.:) ... you do realize that there is a certain escalation with each story in how far the three of them take things, right? I mean, it took me months to dare writing the damn fic *g*
