Oh, the imagery in this is just lovely.

The crystal of the flute catches the light and diffracts it. The whole room is shimmering, there is no other word to describe it: the night lights and illuminations of the city behind the huge windows, the small lamps and red candles lighting his loft and sparkling on the damn crystal flute and in the mirrors, Lincoln’s eyes as they hold his own, and Lincoln’s skin, slick with sweat, as he shifts to find a comfortable position, the silk scarf brushing Michael’s arms... Numerous tiny sources of light glow in the otherwise dark apartment.I had to quote all of it because it just so good, I loved the flow of the metaphor and the way it transitioned into the moment of them together. Or something, I hope that that makes sense. LOL

I'm glad you liked the imagery. I wanted to dwell a bit on the 'shimmer' aspect of the prompt - actually using the prompt, not just mentioning it, is part of the fun for me when writing based on one - and it's nice to know it worked for you.

The push and pull between them was fascinating to read.
yay. This was exactly what I wanted to convey. Hopefully for once I didn't write an overly manipulative Michael.

You really set the scene so well with your fabulous description it almost felt like I was there, like a shadow on the wall witnessing everything!

Michael really can't help himself, can he? As much as he shouldn't enjoy every single part of this he's helpless, and not just because his hands are bound with the pretty scarf! Lincoln, though, is man enough to face up to the fact that he wants his brother, needs to own him and mark him as belonging to him!!

Hot and dirty and wrong, I make no apologies nor feel no shame for absolutely loving this fic!!

But then, you always have a way of writing M/L that pretty much guarantees my pleasure!!

So is this a fic to add to the "Whim List"?!! ;)

LOL, I told you that I have way too many Michael/Lincoln fics. No sane human being can keep track of all of them ;-)
Or maybe you followed a trend: I posted this fic here, in rounds_of_kink and at pbfic.net at different moments, and it went quite unnoticed everywhere and each time. It's doomed *g* I usually don't get tons of feedback, but it made me freak out a bit to have so few comments on this one specifically. It was the first time I'd written something that graphic, and I wondered if I'd taken it too far.

It's a good thing they're on the same wavelenght and completing each other, isn't it? Michael can't help himself, but Lincoln sounds quite jealous, caught at his own game as he is since he pushed Michael into the (aborted) date ^__^

Hmmm, I dunno about the Whim List... If you add this, it means that no new fic with those items will be written for said list. Which, from where I stand, means one less M/L story and is not a good thing *g

I usually don't get tons of feedback, but it made me freak out a bit to have so few comments on this one specifically.

If it makes you feel better I get even fewer comments to my fic posts. It's probably all part of the depopulation that's going on plus slash was always more of a minority genre than MiSa, because there is still quite a lot of that, particularly in pbfic.net. Slashing might be the poor relative but those of us who write it are more open-minded, more adventurous and definitely more unconventional! Yay us!!

I don't think it's because of the depopulation, not mainly anyway. This fic is just doomed ;-) It's relatively old, about six or seven months. I posted M/L stories after it, and they still got more attention. This one? Nope. I'm telling you: doomed fic *pets doomed fic and moves on*

For those with a more delicate disposition...well, let them read het!! ;)LOL. I wouldn't be able to write - and I'm not sure I'd like to read - kinky Michael/Sara, but some het pairings would definitely be okay with more twisted stuff. Lincoln/Gretchen, not to name it :-p
