Oh Shilo. I had worried... I'm Doctor Jones, but please just call me Martha.

There's something you should know: Rotti Largo is here. He can't do anything to you, I won't let him but you should be aware of it.

He's really here? As an inmate?

I'm sorry it took so long, I've been recovering from- it's a long story. I guess you know it.

He's not normally here as an inmate, but is here at the moment for Pavi.

Yes, I know the story. Do you want to meet?

Who else is here? Not the Graverobber too.

Yes, I'm not sure where I am... I went out but the halls all look the same. I think I'm almost outside though, it's getting colder.

Amber's normally here, but she's not at the moment.

I can come and find you if you like.

[Shilo put that yes, she would like that, before looking up from her PDA. Everything really did look the same, even if it was somehow brighter and cleaner than home. She took a shaky breath, body still weak from her father's medicine as it slowly worked it's way completely out of her system.]

I wonder if- [She began, stopping and glancing down the hall almost suspiciously. Sometimes she felt alone, even if it was worth the price of freedom. Before she had always had her father, for better or worse. She her hugged PDA against her chest and walked a little further down the hall, near the stairwell.] Hello?

Martha had quickly left her room and gone looking for the girl. It had seemed the most likely that she would have started in Nathan's room and Martha cursed herself for not thinking of it before then. For a moment she wondered if perhaps there was something on the barge that could have sped up the girl's healing, but she knew that anything done wouldn't be permeant. Sometimes floods could be incredibly disappointing for things like this.

She came to the end of the hallway and she heard someone call. "Hello?" She answered back as she stepped into a pool of light at the end of the hallway. "Are you Shilo?"

Shilo whipped around, eyes wide before she stepped slowly forward. "Dr. Jones?" She asked. The woman looked kindly, a style of dress that was a little strange perhaps but not outlandish, just not as somber or opulent as she was used to. She approached slowly, offering a small smile as greeting. "Yes, I'm Shilo- I mean, it's nice to meet you."

"Please, just call me Martha." It was simple and reflexive to ask people to call her that now. Really, she supposed that it always had been. Martha's dark eyes studied Shilo, appraising her medically or a moment before she took the offered hand. "Sorry," she said quickly. "Force of habit. It's nice to meet you as well, I've heard a bit about you." She looked around for a moment. "Would you like to go somewhere you'd be more comfortable? I know you haven't seen much of nature--there's a bit of a habitat on board here."

Shilo appraised Martha right back. Even though her father was a complex issue in her life, one she hadn't yet worked out to a full extent, she wanted to know he was taken cared of here.

Shilo herself was still held an unnatural paleness, even given her world. While she felt stronger as of late her body was still weaker than it should have been, not evident unless she performed some physical activity others her age could handle without a moments pause.

She regarded Martha's hand before tucking the PDA in the crook of one arm and shaking the offered hand, blinking up at her. "Habitat?" She asked, shifting her feet and looking behind her. "Alright, this place is a little spooky."

"It's a place where we can see nature, and have dry land below our feet if we need it." Martha was worried about the girl and how frail she was, especially considering the world where Shilo was normally found. She looked so pale that a part of her wanted to drag the girl into the infirmary and do a full body work up, but god knew they probably wouldn't have time for all of it. Besides, it wouldn't matter anyway; a part of her was certain that wouldn't carry over.

"It takes a bit of getting used too," Martha's tone was comforting when Shilo mentioned that it was spooky. There were parts of the barge that were at points, but CES never was. "It's up on deck. We'll be able to talk in private there."

"Ok." Shilo tried not to sound too eager but it was all very new and the initial hesitation was beginning to wear off into genuine curiosity. She touched her necklace, walking a bit more slowly than usual as she took in the surroundings.

"Dr- Martha." She corrected, glancing over. "My dad... is he ok? I mean, if he does rehabilitate like that Admiral guy says, what happens?"

Martha's normally quick gait was slowed to match Shilo's as they walked up to CES. When the girl asked if Nathan was okay, Martha considered for a moment before she replied. "Yeah, I would say he's okay. He has good days, and he has bad days like everyone else." She broke off for a moment. "He saved my life not to long ago. A mermaid was trying to drown me, and he saved me."

There was another moment of silence as they came onto the deck, and approached the door to CES. "I'm sure your father will be rehabilitated, Shilo. There isn't a doubt in my mind that he will be. I'm not sure how long it'll take, but I know it'll happen." As for the actual question, that was harder for her to answer. "I don't know what'll happen. He could stay here and be a warden, he might be able to return home or he might go somewhere else. I'm afraid the Admiral isn't very forthcoming with details like that." Martha pulled the door open, and gestured Shilo towards it. "After you."

"He did?" Shilo looked at her. "A... mermaid?" She was pretty sure that was some sort of mythical creature that did not exist, though she had been pretty sure that this sort of world didn't exist either.

Shilo fell silent as she spoke again. She wasn't sure what she wanted- she missed her dad, he was the only person she really knew before the Genetic Opera occurred. Even if she missed him she wasn't sure he should return, if coming back would force him to become the man he did again. He was right when he said the world was cruel, though Shilo preferred it to her cage of before.

She entered the room as Martha gestured, promptly freezing in place. Everything was so... green and blue, the sky was blue in a way she had never seen. She took a few more tentative steps in, turning in a circle to take in everything, mouth slightly open in aw. "This... what is this?"

"Yeah," she said quickly, "he did. We were in this port, and had gone to the sea... and apparently the mermaid didn't approve of me being here for some reason." There was a little shrug when she spoke, and then she entered CES behind Shilo.

She nearly bumped into the girl when she stopped inside. Martha grinned, because it was lovely to see such enthusiasm and such joy in the girl. The setting was one of a meadow with trees and flowers dotted here and there. "CES," Martha's voice was soft so she didn't break the spell. "This is the meadow setting. We have several others, but this is my favorite." Martha was glad that it wasn't the desert setting it had been with Judas; that would have been problematic for her.
