I'm watching the presidential news conference right now because, apparently, the powers that be at Fox News seem to think that it is more important to show than the OC. but, this reminds me of the posts that I had back in november.
You must have to be brain dead to listen to this shit and actually believe it. Lil Dan Essrow is right...it is sickening how many lies and hypocrisies there are that no one notices. Even when one reporter decides to break from the crowd and not kiss his ass, and ask a real(ish) question, the answer is just danced around and mixed in with something about democracy and freedom and "still gettin' yer checks".
I know I just sound like one of those bandwagon-jumping "fuck bush" kids that doesn't know what they are talking about, but take my word for it, that is not the case. I have my reasons, but honestly, do you want to hear them? I didn't think so.
Anyways, today I said goodbye to a few things---my chem class--my adolescent psych class--and my chem lab. They will all be missed. or something.
Saturday is Spring Fest here and More Than Me is playing so that's kinda exciting.
I have an interview at Bath and Body Works the day after I get home for good. (((12 days)))
oh and one more thing--I was thinking about this today in one of my psychology classes: Why aren't cigarettes illegal? If you think of all the other carcinogens in the world that are outlawed without nearly as widespread of use as tobacco, there has to be a reason. I narrowed down my possibilities into a few things--could it be the influence of tobacco companies on the government? The fact that so much of our economy depends on it? Or that you have a "choice" to use it, which really isn't true at all because of second hand smoke and everything. And I'm not asking this to be an ass to all you who smoke, it just makes me wonder because it causes cancer, and you normally cant buy other cancer causing agents in the stores. just a thought. our psych book called it, "suicide in slow motion". truth.
a few more thoughts--50% of the austrailian population gets skin cancer during their child bearing years due to their close proximity to ozone-depleted area of the atmosphere. aaaannnnd 10% OF COLLEGE STUDENTS HAVE CHLAMYDIA...now that is just gross. That's like 4 people on my floor alone. yuck.
thoughts.........?
