another injured dog
Over the past 3 days, we've given the vet $500 from dog injuries. First, it was Cody with her sprained leg from jumping out of Steve's arms and landing the wrong way. Now today, Coco had a deep gash in her paw pad, was bleeding everywhere and limping. I picked up her paw to check it out and yelled out, "oh my god!" once I saw how deep it was. I felt nauseous and couldnt look at it again. I have no idea how it happened, but she was barking by the fence at our neighbor's dogs so I suspect maybe one of them knicked her.
We went to the vet yet again. We left for her a few hours while they put her under and put stiches in. When we picked her up, she was very groggy and has been sleeping in her crate since then. I told Salado he better watch out at this rate! But, I also told him to look after his lil' sisters...my poor girls :o(
