These weeks seem to fly by so fast that I cant believe that Steve will finally be home in 2 1/2 weeks :o) I went out a few times during the weekday--I went to see I Am Legend with Ken and Veronica, which I thought was an ok movie. It was different from the book and I'm still uncertained if I liked the ending. On Friday, me, Crazy Lisa and Malana took Ken and Veronica out for dinner at Rio Grande since no one was picky about where to go and Malana wanted Mexican. Afterwards, we went back to Ken and Veronica's to play Catch Phrase--always a fun time with that game!
This weekend, I barely left the house except once on Saturday to run a few errands and grocery shop. Lisa
lkf03 called to see what I was up to while I was out, but when I realized I didn't have my wallet and would have to go home, I picked her up and she accompanied me to a few stores. I went grocery shopping late--around 9pm--and HEB wasnt nearly as crowded so I think I may do that more often.
I got a lot accomplished as I slowly re-organize a section of the house at a time before Steve's return. Last weekend was the garage. This weekend, I mowed the back yard, I sewed up all the dog toys that had rips and repaired 2 doggie beds, organized my under-the-stairs closet and the junk on top of the fridge, vacuumed the whole house, finally put up that curtain rod in the bathroom, did loads of laundry, did loads of dishes, went through Steve's clothes to donate and I'm almost done with mine--again.
One thing that I did and that I'm SUPER excited about is I got tickets to
Cirque du Soleil's Love show in Las Vegas on Valentine's Day!! I've always wanted to see one of their shows and hope it's as amazing as everyone says they are.

Vegas has about 4 other Cirque du Soleil shows, but since it was Valentine's Day, the "Love" theme seemed fitting <3 Plus it's got Beatles music so you cant go wrong with that. I got the 2nd most expensive tickets (for the price of the most expensive tier, it was only 3 rows closer) so I'm just really anxious for Steve to come home so we can be traveling fools together!
So this looks like our schedule for now:
Feb: Las Vegas and Boston
March: Florida (Disney World)
May: Alaska (cruise)
When we go to Vegas, I said I wanted to see the shows--that's my ONE big splurge--hopefully we'll be able to see other ones if they have tickets for 50% off. I read on some boards that people got Cirque tickets for 50% off, but usually they sell out and arent available at a discount rate, but I wouldnt mind seeing a few comedy acts. Steve will definitely want to gamble and if we have time, maybe we'll take a day trip out to see the Grand Canyon or one of the other parks they have out there and get out of the city. Anyone have some "must see" things to add?
Anyway, I better get a decent amount of sleep tonight if I'm going to stay up until midnight tomorrow :o)
