whats new with me?
* Won another Xbox360 from Pepsi, those suckers, expecting it to come in the mail within 2 or 3 weeks. Was supposed to come with a copy of Forza Motorsport 2, but those slobs at MS can't work worth a shit and it got delayed again so I hope they chuck Gears of War into the box with it. I'm itchin' to try that bitch out. Also hoping that the fall update doesn't fuck me over like it did to the rest of the internet apparently.
* Trying to win a PS3 from coke. It's hard because there's only 1 random instant-win draw per day, and there's only 45 days in the contest. I want the PS3 more than the 360 I already won (more games I want + linux media center almost out of the box), but fuck paying $700 for video games.
* Computer is still running like a champ 6 months later. Even tossed a new 512mb stick o' ram in for the big gig. I was half expecing the smattering of random parts I dropkicked into place would have failed by now, but the fact that it's still running quite nicely aside from problems with embedded windows media fills my blackened heart with joy.
* Work is kind of dry. Boss wanted a new website, but there was some kind of huge snafu at the store and the broad I was collaborating with got fired pretty hard. Aside from random bitching and moaning about the cart crashing (WHICH I COLUMBO'D THE REASON OF, X-CART SUCKS) I haven't heard peep one from them. Other jobs got me doing random shit here and there but nothing concrete (or paying.) Server is chugging away like a champ, but its time to upgrade that bitch. 512mb of ram just ain't cuttin' the cheese anymore and it has almost weekly lock-ups. I think there's some filesystem problems but I'm way too chicken shit to piss around with fsck to only have the entire journal fuck up and screw all the customers out of their data.
