Lots to talk about kinda I guess.
July I started Freelance Editing at First Coast News, also in July something else happened that I already posted, but I won't go into that on here.
Early August I started working overnights at FCN doing Good Morning Jacksonville Saturday and Sunday..that was a drag cause I got almost no sleep and my schedule was always out of whack. The last few days of September I was told I was being moved to night side on the weekend so that got my sleep schedule back to what it needed to be.
September went along as usual, nothing too crazy happened other than Fay which was an incredibly dumb Tropical Storm.
October was routine as was November although working Thanksgiving was a very strange experience because I had never worked on a major holiday before.
Right around that time I found out about the position that I had originally applied for back in November of last year, Associate Producer. So I took the writing test and trained a few days for a lesser position. This past Friday (the 12th..a year pretty much after I graduated), I found out that I had gotten the job and would start during Christmas week. In all actuality I start tomorrow full time and all that good stuff, working on the 5 and 5:30 p.m. shows.
I realized that the end of the year is freakishly close so I decided to write this.
Besides working wayyyy too much at WJCT, FCN and Publix I actually did have some fun in there. I hung out with friends and all that good stuff, it was a nice respite from going to work every day almost and it was always a lot of fun, too.
Although I'm workin New Years Eve and Day, which absolutely blows, I'm hoping that 2009 will be a better year than 2008, where I can finally quit Publix and end my 6 and a half year time there, and actually get days off without working somewhere else which is what I do now.
So in a nutshell that was the second half of 2008, here's to 2009!
