I had strep throat a couple weeks back. If you want to go slightly cheaper, go to CVS Minute Clinic. 75 for a strep test. Get the antibiotic filled at Publix, most antibiotics are free at Publix.

My throat seems to be clearing again...and I am 99.9% sure I had strep throat because one of my students had it as well.

I didn't want to take the strep test because the doctor I saw wanted to charge me $197 for the test, so instead she wrote me a prescription for a Z Pac. It mostly cleared up my sinus and throat infections, but I still have lingering spots/holes on my tonsils.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely go for CVS and Publix the next time I I think I have a strep infection.
