Transitions
Frost warning for tonight - it's definitely fall. And tomorrow is October 1st. How did that happen? I think September went away in a time warp.
Fall is my favorite season. Spring is my second favorite. It seems that I prefer the transitions. Winter is lovely but it lasts too long. Summer is lovely but it gets too hot. The changes that take place in autumn and spring are dramatic, and full of color. Watching those changes day by day never seems to get old. That's something I missed very much in Dubai. Seasonal changes don't show off the way they do in more temperate climates. Although temperamental is more descriptive, I think!
Yesterday, I had a bunch of meetings, and I have a ton of stuff that needs to be done before the end of October. A good motivation, I think. Besides, that'll take pressure off the academic side of things during November for Nanowrimo!
October is looking crazy busy already for lots of reasons. Eeek!
