Wander on over to my Picasa gallery (
http://picasaweb.google.com/ctremlett ) for the Starwood pics. There are two more ... interesting pics from the March of the Kilted Men that I can email if you want to see them. The ones on the gallery are safe for work. *g*
Starwood seemed to take a while to kick in this year. A slower build-up than it usually is, but lots of fun all the same. I went to six workshops (six more than I made it to last year!) and only one of them sucked. Most of the worst of the rain happened at night, though it rained out the ADF ritual and put a damper on a few other things.
Random Starwood memories:
Driving up into the Dark Moor and being met by a bunch of hot women.
Gong bath.
Hot tubbing.
Swimming pool fun.
Dancing with Jim at the Roundhouse.
The puddle out in front of the canopy being named Lake Lansing.
A cart driving someone up the hill, noting that "we're passing Lansing Pagan Village".
Lots of fun with bubbles!
Gate duty in good company.
Drinking hour at the radio station.
Morrison, always fun.
Magpie & his mead!
The maple crack.
Joel's visits from the tie-dye faeries.
Adventures in playing translator for two people who were competing for how long they could go without speaking.
Wandering around through the campground in the fog.
Playing temptress for people out shopping.
Good music at Bardic!
The firedancers being the fire lighting - really awesome this year!
The big fire, amazing as always.
"Alex, is your shoe on fire?"
And lots more that aren't springing to mind at the moment. Suffice to say it was a weird and wonderful week!
