Random Thoughts On Monday
Jim should be home soon. I didn't sleep too well last night without having him in the bed. Even though I had plenty of kitties to keep me company!
It started snowing in fluffy flakes a little before I left the house. I had more walking than usual since Jim wasn't around to drop me off at the building where most of my academic life is spent. I wound up crossing campus twice, plus a little bit more walking. I usually wind up crossing campus once during a day. Takes me fifteen minutes, give or take. It was warmer and all that lovely snow made for very nice walking.
There's a different quality to quiet when it's snowing fluffy flakes.
I tried on a size 20 pair of jeans over the weekend that I couldn't get on last summer. I can get them on and zip them, though they're not comfortable for wearing for any length of time. My next weight-loss goal is to be able to wear those jeans comfortably! Rather than the next number on the scale. I'm about halfway to my goal for the year. Jim is closer. And the year in question ends at Starwood, since the goal was set at last Starwood!
Feminist theory today turned out to be massive amounts of philosophy terms and philosophy history, to set the stage for the next batch of stuff we'll be reading. My notes are full of quotations from the Philosopher's Drinking Song.
