Nope, not doing the traditional Diary Comic this week, but instead you get what is essentially my mid-term assignment. This is just a very rough posting, literally scanned from the book/copy pages. Two weeks, eight pages (6 minimum) of comic plus cover front, back, and inside:
BBB Front BBB page 0 BBB page 1 BBB page 2 BBB page 3 BBB page 4 BBB page 5 BBB page 6 BBB page 7 BBB page 8 BBB Back Inside BBB Back Cover It's far from finished but considering I pretty much haven't slept in two weeks aside from the, oh, 14 hours I got last night I'm okay with what I got done. I still plan to probably add about five pages to flesh out the pacing and I'll probably re-do a couple of panels and then finally add all the screen-tones and background details I've been wanting to add.
The assignment itself was to take an Aesop's fable and take it wherever we felt like. I took the story the Bat, the Birds, and the Beasts because I wanted to drive myself insane with staging and character details. Well played, self, well played. I hope to eventually have this in cleaned up format so that I can have it and the first chapter of one of my larger projects ready for June.
I'm still blown away by the stuff my classmates are putting out. Seriously, these people are amazing. When I get a chance, if I have any links to their stuff I'll post them here because it's just nuts.
Anyway, I think I'm starting to feel sleepy again.
*edit*
Oh, and in my sleepiness, I forgot to give tonight's episode of Batman: Brave and the Bold a bump because I'd already *cough* watched it about 15 times already and it's awesome. So yeah, have some Neil Patrick Harris as the Music Meister from my caricature class to celebrate the awesomeness that was that episode:
He Drives Us Bats
