(no subject)
So here I am sitting in the student lounge (which is going to be closing in about... five minutes) waiting for a very late Nathan to pick me up. I have nothing to do. Thus, blog.
So a couple weeks ago I went to this small little anime convention called 'Anime Detour'. By small, I mean really itty bitty. There were about 2500 attendants that year. Compare that to the 15,000 that were at the only other to conventions I've been to and you get itty bitty.
The first day I dressed as Anna Kyouyama from Shaman King. I saw a lot of Edwards and Vashs. Actually, except for Trigun, I mainly saw characters from new anime. So I figure the kids going to this con are probably mainly new fans, which would explain why no one seemed to recognize my costume.
Third day I went as Tamahome from Fushigi Yuugi. I make a really bad boy. As in, I don't look like a boy at all, therfore next time I choose a male character to be, he will be a very feminine looking one to begin with.
Anyhow, I was with a group of about nine. We all crossplayed at Miaka and the Suzaku no Seishi. It waskinda annoying to be walking around with our Miaka, because everyone digs a guys dressed as a girl way more than anything else so a lot of people were asking for only Miaka's picture. They didn't even want to her lover (me) in the picture with her.
And now for something completly different.
The semester here at school will be over in about a month. I'm sad to think about it since I like school so much, but no one else really feels the same. I really hope I get more financial aide for the next year, but I think I may get less than I did this year. I may only be able to take Japanese in the Fall. Man, that would suck.
My friend, Bitsy, is going to drop out of school, I think. I'm not really sure why. She does badly in all her classes except for Japanese but that's because she keeps ditching them for stupid reasons. Like last night, she ditched our Tae Kwon Do classes for her sixth absence so she could hang out with a boy she likes. She's probably going to fail at least two of her classes this semester and because of that, she'll loose her financial aid.
