Coalescence
Things are finally starting to feel like they're coming together. Quick rundown list instead of three paragraphs detailing everything...
Visa: DONE
After freaking out for a few hours because the agency said they never got it, they e-mailed again and said it would be ready and shipped tomorrow, it just wasn't in the computer system.
Airline Ticket: DONE
Booked through Asia.com. Taxes were a lot higher than I would have liked, but the overall price was still lower than everything else. I'll be flying from Pittsburgh to Chicago, then straight over to Beijing from there. I leave on August 21st at 10-something in the morning.
Hotel Booking: DONE
I found the hotel I'll be staying at, but I don't want to book it until I have my visa in hand. It'll be done in a few days.
Apartment Hunting: BALL IS ROLLING
Talked to one of my friends in China, and she is going to help me find an apartment. Not much I can do on this side of the world as I obviously don't trust dodgy internet postings.
Aside from all that? I just have to figure out how to not starve.
