I was heating up something in the microwave after my brother fixed it (by pounding on it for a few minutes). The 3 on the keypad works again, so I put in the food for three and a half minutes and went then told my mom that "the threes work again". Realizing there is only one three, and I pressed it twice, I corrected myself. "The three works again". Why did that S after 'three' and/or 'work' move? "The threes work" or "The three works". There's no "the three work" or the "threes works". Those sound wrong, even though they seem like they SHOULD work. Is there a rule where these letters cancel each other out? Why those words? Why not "Thes three work"? Why am I thinking so much about this?
What the hell is wrong with me?
