Null modem cable

So, I received the T2000 that Sun Microsystems sent me about a week ago or so. Work has been hectic, so I only got around to getting a console on it last night. I had to dig around for the components required to wire up an RJ45<->DB9 null modem cable. I then tested it and found that it didn't work. So I looked around for a better wiring diagram and came up with this:

If you ever need to wire yourself a null modem cable, check that one out.

Man, is that server ever noisy.

One of these days I'll find enough time to write a benchmark test for Sun. They've got a contest in place for folks on the "try & buy" program. Those who write and publish benchmark test for them are entered in to a a competition to see who wins the hardware they're trying out.

I hope I win. It seems like a pretty sweet box...
