Everett Wireless Network
I just called Kate Reardon, the head of PR for the city of Everett. I left her a message about my plans for an Everett Wireless Network (EWN). Today, I asked my domain registrar to book up a domain for Washington-based wireless networks. I spoke with mattwestervelt about some network collaboration between Everett's wireless network and Seattle's. I expect that the two networks will be pretty closely linked.
I am going to replace my painfully loud router and the house's linksys wrv54g with a much more efficient box from Metrix Communication. I figured I'd mount the box on my roof because I can. I could run a copy of NoCat Splash on the box and direct requests for Internet access to me and requests for EWN to the current maintainer of the EWN.
Thoughts?
