U-oh, it's another fan blog on LOST
The LOST panel at Comic Con was today, and since I'm obsessed with the tv show, obv. it didn't take me long to stalk the internet to find out every tidbit of what happened. But this isn't so much to report on what happened, but to theorize for my own sanity. Because waiting till January after last season's finale, will drive you crazy.
So if you don't want spoilers or if you've never seen LOST or haven't finished season 5, STOP READING NOW! THANKS!

Alright since the finale of Season 5, what tid bits have been leaked prior to Comic Con? Maggie Grace is rejoining the cast as that casting news wasn't kept very secretive, aka someone leaked she was looking for property to buy in Hawaii "again" and then they discovered she had signed back on. Then Matthew Fox said in another interview that the flashbacks would stop about a 1/3 of the way into the 18 episode season and that Jack and Locke would finally come to ahead.
Adewale (aka Mr. Eko) has expressed that he would like to return to the show. This might not happen. Why? I don't really for see them putting on any of our favorite tailies like him or Michelle Rodriguez's Ana Lucia. Why? Well it's pretty clear that even though Cynthia Watros went back on the show in season 4, in a recent interview with Damon and Carlton, she really wants nothing to do the show. Something tells me she is bitter. That and she's busy with another TV show. They did however in the interview answer WHY WAS LIBBY in an mental institution? If you're smart you'll discover the very "mundane" self explanatory answer. Her husband died, she went to a dark time, when she got out she met Desmond, gave him her husband's boat. the end.
So continuing on, because Maggie Grace and other's have been having their doors knocked on, aka will you come back to the show? We now know that YES the bomb will work and they'll go back, however not in the way we're lead to the believe. Why is this?
Lets jump to some Comic Con things brought up.
1. Charlie is yet another who has been signed on to go on. Even though they didn't confirm or deny it, there's a reason he was there and if Shannon is back on already, you can expect he'll be back. Why do I not care about any of the people back so far? Oh that's right I didn't care for any of them.
2. Kate Austin didn't murder her father, but a guy named Ryan who worked with him? That doesn't make sense. And then:
3. Hurley establishes Mr. Clucks out in Australia and that's why he was there because of his good LUCK since the numbers. Here we see a Walt and Michael look a like, VERY HAPPY in Australia. and you can get the "heaven"ly chicken for just $4.42.
4. Nestor Carbonell aka Richard doesn't age, will have an episode devoted to him. Before this we knew that he and even Christian Shepard were in talks of becoming Season 6 series regulars. Now it's safe to say that "Yes" Richard will become a regular.
5. Damon and Carlton do state that "YES" a lot of characters from Season 1 will be coming back (And to jump aside here, Damon is good friends with the exec. producer to the Vampire Diaries staring Ian (aka BOONE) to which when Ian himself was interviewed he said he heard most people are going back and if the show allows it he's along for the ride as well.)
6. Oceanic Airlines started in 1979? 2 years after they set off the bomb? I don't think that's a coincidence.
7. Juliet and Faraday will both be back in some capacity, granted we don't know if Juliet survived or not and Faraday is already dead.
8. Season 6 will not have flash forwards or time travel and will be something similar to season 1 entirely, and yes they'll be on the island.
9. At some point not during the panel a Marketing image of the show got revealed for Season 6 showing the Lost casties facing us but NOT JOHN LOCKE, he is facing backwards away from us.
So that's all we learned from Comic Con.
What else do we know before my theory on Season 6 is stated. Well Jacob touched a lot of people:
Locke, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Sun & Jin, Hurley, Sayid, and Illiana
Hurley has a lovely guitar case
& Claire you know is back in Season 6
Locke really is dead and new mysterious possessed Locke gets Ben to kill Jacob, and then Jacob goes "they're coming."
That's about ALL you need to make a pretty fair assessment on the show. Oh and LOOPHOLE.
My theory:
The plane is going to crash no matter what. What the bomb did do is alter the back stories to our characters. But all of them? Hmm, maybe not all of them. Maybe just specifically the ones Jacob touched. As we now learned that Kate failed to kill her father in this alternate time line (note the father issue), and that Hurley went to Australia not to investigate the Numbers, but to establish Mr. Clucks out there. We know that Michael and Walt CANNOT be on the plane anymore. Why? It's not physically possible thanks to Walt being like 16 now.
So what explanation can come from this? Anyone who died OFF the Island or got OFF and stayed off the island (aka Walt & Aaron) will not be affected by this. Those that died will. BUT then what happens to Miles? Hmm lots of questions.
One thing I can def. say is a most likely is that since Matthew Fox said only about 1/3 of the episodes will be flashbacks, 1/3 of 18 is 6! Who did Jacob touch?! We'll learn the alternate back stories to Sayid, Kate, Jack, Sun & Jin, Hurley, and Sawyer. That's 6 episodes right there. Why not Illiana or Locke? It's my belief that even though the guy fans call "Esau" has taken the form of Locke, Jacob touched Locke in the past to resurrect him after death. So Jacob can make the dead come back to life, and he can make people not age, thanks Richard. It could one of two ways, Locke will be Locke or Locke will still be Esau, now trapped in his own time paradox. And Jacob has outsmarted him. I believe the latter.
I think our days of seeing a Normal Locke are done. The guitar that was given to Hurley is going to set in motion them all remembering what really happened, making the last 5 seasons REAL and not one giant cheat. the guitar case is obviously going to connect somehow to Charlie.
The first 9 episodes will be about the effects of the alternate reality, 6 of them highlighting those touched altered lives, then between episodes 7 and 9, Richard will be explained, Illiana will come into play, and Jack and Locke will come to ahead.
Another thing is that Claire is going to be Locke. Something is going to be off about her, and my guess is that she won't be pregnant. She was obviously infected with the "sickness" that Rousseu's team was infected with. So I think her and fake Locke will be what transitions the 1st half to the WAR in the 2nd half that we keep on hearing about.
What will happen in the 2nd half? Well Jacob might be back alive now, showing he could outsmart Esau. Desmond will come back into play, as weill Charles Widmore, Ben, Juliet, Faraday.
Juliet might only be on the show to show what happened had the plan fully worked, but something tells me the island is going to coarse correct itself and kill everyone who died before back off. Because you know that if Adam and Eve are two of the people there (most likely Rose and Bernard) the alternate reality couldn't of happened.
Now i'm getting a headache!
Bottom line, 1st 6 episodes will be amusing and highly confusing displaying them recrashing as if it was the first time on the island. By episode 7 and 8 they're gonna piece it together that something isn't right, at the same time we'll start seeing Ben and Juliet and the others perspective on this. Thus leading into a Richard centric episode. Locke and Jack will get their dues, and once they remember everything that DID happen, Locke and everyone else will die off and go away for good, which will take back the lives of Juilet and Sayid. Illiana, the war with charles widmore over the island will all come into play. Jack will avenge Locke. Christian Shepard, the smoke monster will all be answered.
As to who would survive this whole ordeal, I think the only definite person that will survive is Hurley.
Everyone else is fair game to die off at this point.
Lost is in the eyes of the beholder.
But since they knew the ending to begin with (Damon and Carlton) despite YES the bomb will "Seem" to work, they're not gong to cheat us. Just by going back has given them the element of surprise yet again.
