Guten Tag!
And welcome to my life, which is normal aside from the fact that I am a college student without a laptop. I am using one of my school library's computers. The keyboard is sticks, so this will be brief.
Olivia's dad said, before her coming to college, "Why do you need your own laptop? Why can't you use the school computers?" The answer was obvious, and she got her own laptop. She was telling this story the other night, and then I announced, "For one week I will not use my own laptop! I will use the school's computers!" It's been a day and a half now with no issues. I don't really miss it. I may need it for the listening portions of my German homework, but we'll see. Anyway, Olivia joined me in this endeavor. We want to take it to the next level. No cell phones. Flannel shirts. Jeans that don't taper. Also...LIVEJOURNAL. This is my Livejournal as I left it (ridiculous title and customization and all) many, many years ago from high school. However, my entries from yesteryears are unavailable to prying eyes. This is about Now, which happens to be the lat 90s/early 200s.
I really liked Simon and Garfunkel. I still do.
Just a note: My mood is grateful because I realize I am in a position that allows me not to use my laptop. I'm privileged in some ways, and I want to acknowledge that I am grateful--very grateful--to own my wonderful Macintosh laptop. I don't want this silly thing we're doing to be, er, taken the wrong way.
Tschüs!
