Title: Sacrifices (7/7)
Rating: R: violence, harsh language, you probably know the drill by now.
Warning: The story contains the death of a young child right at the outset, and later scenes of violence involving a child which some people may find distressing.

“The fucking water hasn’t been running, Connor.”
“Shit.”
On second reading, a snarky "Fail" totally feels appropriate here. ;) Poor Sarah!
“Get some sleep.” His voice startled her, and she blinked in confusion before realizing he had somehow managed to steer her into their bedroom. He piled the pillows up to ease her breathing and she sank onto them with a sigh of relief. Savannah murmured and subconsciously inched herself closer to Sarah’s warmth. I had those two scenes sort of planned in my head for so long (I think I started hinting at Derek's little meltdown-to-come in the last fic) it was great to finally be able to get them down.
The whole scene = HILARIOUS. I totally imagined Savannah going for Sarah's Institution Mugshot face. XDXDXD
LOL. As usual, no idea where the hell that came from, it was just a nice little bridging scene. And then the idea of Savannah being a mini-Sarah just seemed so perfect.
That, and a nice sleepout on the beach nestled against your honey and underneath warm wool blankets. I totally want one of those now. <333
Don't we all? ;-) Personally, I'd settle for a decent night of peaceful sleep and warm weather (I'm currently working nights in snow and Siberian wind chill!)
As I've said up-thread to illyria and lynx, your feedback has meant the world to me through these fics. So thank you :-)
