You're a masochist. IS CAT AWARE OF THIS????? D': fig_aruna June 19 2010, 00:41:40 UTC

Couple things I wanted to comment specifically here on this chapter:

- Even though Michael and Zach have only been in this fic for two chapters now, I felt a deeply painful sense of loss when the shit hit the fan for them... Michael desperately trying to give John the coordinates over the phone made me all crumply-eyed and twingey-handed...

- Sarah's phone call to John in the midst of high-speed firefight on a darkened road was really surreal. And heartbeat increasing. I swear like a sailor, but the number of times the f-bomb was dropped during that confrontation was pretty fantastic!

- "People matter, John. They're all that matters." John and Sarah in-characterness FTW.

- Have I mentioned that I really dislike Kristina? I just want Cameron to do a sneak attack her in her office and then comment on how gaudy her nails are.

- "We believe you." <-- CHILLS, MISSY. CHILLLLLLLS.

Update soon, pwease?!???

Masochist or sadist?! Cos I'm pretty sure I've already read the rest of this fic, which - if you're not loving the cliff-hangers - kinda makes me a sadist *laughs*.

*takes a deep breath* Thank you :-) OCs are always, always scary to write so I'm happy these two seem to be working out for people. I have a real soft-spot for ma boys *g*

LOL. Sorry for making you foul-mouthed! I loved that scene in Alpine Fields where John phones in the middle of the stand-off ("just put the alarm on") so this was a little throw-back to ( ... )

OOOPS. I totally meant sadist. Which means I'm probably the masochist then. *flaily arms*

I understand the fear of the OC. It's scary for the reader too, but I know that's nothing compared to the writer's anxiety over them. But you musta done good coz I really want Michael to live and to learn more about him and Zach. *says a quiet prayer*

For that, you get extra brownie points :-) These fics never took John to the lighthouse, but I wanted to take that theme and run with it in this one.

Brownie points! \o/!!!!

And even MORE for you because NEW CHAPTER *GLEEEEEEEE*

LOL. I had to check with Cat: "Cat, if I'm being mean to people with cliff-hangers, that makes me a sadist doesn't it?" "Yes, dear." ;-)

Good to know. OCs nipped in and out of the show all the time, but it's different in fic, I guess. Sometimes I think the villains are easier to write, with OCs intended to be sympathetic, there's always a little more at stake.
