Last Entry: Falkor grew up into a child and Marylena discussed her woes of being a parent. Falkor wanted his dad to be in his life, and hated that his mom dated a lot. Marylena got Falkor into private school. The family got cats, lost one, and then has 2 kittens that went into the adoption pool.

FAMILY TREES
Marylena, being a Townie has no family. Falkor is obviously her son and his dad is Denis Marzena. That does mean Falkor has a half-brother Kofi Yerazig he has never met, and a set of alien cousins due to Denis' brother Ame Marzena. Ame and Ricky also have an adopted son, Alon, who is married to Subira Rauscher.

The older I have gotten the more I understand my mom. I still do not like what she does all the time, even flirting with married men, but I'm starting to understand more.
She also enjoys going on outings a lot too. I guess she is just trying to meet more guys to bring home. I don't fully get what drives her specifically, but she certainly tries hard to do what she likes to do.
Mom did at least sit down and eat with me sometimes. I didn't like her much as a kid, but she is my mom and she did at least keep me fed, clothed, and housed when I was really young.
Oh yeah, I did become a teenager. I know I've been talking like I was a kid so long ago, and in some ways it feels like a long time ago, but it was after I became a teenager

Before we really realized it, it was also time for mom to have a birthday as well. She invited so many of her friends over, including my dad. I was so excited to get to spend more time with him. Let's see we also had Chandler from across the street, and the Isleen's from next door, and I think some other Isleen's from the other side of us as well. Oh, and the good witch Hua-Ling. She is an interesting person.
Then something happened that just about ruined the party. I'm not 100% sure what occurred, but I know mom got really upset at dad. I wasn't too happy at dad either. I may not always be mom's biggest fan, but she didn't deserve that on her birthday. On the other hand though, why did it upset her so much? I thought there was never a chance for them? Anyway, I didn't really see what all occurred, but apparently Gisela, who was a bit of a flame of dad's back in the dad, flirted with him, right in front of her husband! Amazingly enough, everyone had a good enough time the party wasn't actually ruined, but it certainly will fuel gossip around town for awhile I'm sure.
Mom decided to start spending a lot of time working at her flower bench after her birthday. I think she will consider retiring before too long, but she really wanted to get good at flowers. She managed to get really good and started setting snapdragons all over the house. They do smell nice and I feel better sitting next to them.
Floyd the cat finally grew up into a full grown cat. He and Ayeka have a love hate relationship. They will be getting along great and then Floyd starts being really territorial and aggressive again. He also doesn't stop yowling, it doen't matter how much we tell him to stop. He knows he shouldn't be too, but it just keeps going.
We ended up getting me a sewing machine because I really wanted to get good at sewing. I worked and worked and worked at that thing, but I kept having to stop to yell at the cat, or do school work.
Mom decided she needed some better clothes, I don't blame her, apparently I'm one of only a few people around here who ever grew up and received something that actually matched. Mom got a weird cowboy looking shirt that was purple and some green pants or something. Anyway, the clothes she picked out were much more suited to her.
The cats did start getting on well enough that I think we are going to have more kittens. I understand now that it's best for the neighborhood to have a lot of pets to choose from and it keeps the genetics of the animals from getting too similar.
I really want to meet a girl and I have met some in school, but no one is really interesting to me anymore. I know I'm old fashioned in wanting a girl who might want to stay home with the kids instead of focusing on a career, but what can I say, I want my kids to have a more focused mother than I did. I know she did her best, but is it too much to ask for to have someone around who wants to be with you and not with everyone else on the planet more?
With mom getting older she is starting to freak out over death. She made sure to go over everything about my inheritance and what I would get, and getting the house and all that. It's not that I don't appreciate that she wants to be ready, but she's not THAT old yet.
To get away from the house for a little bit I went down to Ling's Rec and played some pool. It was late enough not a whole lot of kids my age were there. I guess their parents probably don't work all night and wouldn't even notice I wasn't at home as long as I was back before she was.
After working even harder at my sewing machine I ended up getting a bronze badge and could make some more interesting things. Before I was stuck making potholders over and over again.
As we have every Saturday I have ever known, we went to Breeze Lake. This time we brought the cats, and there were even some dogs there that day. I had to stop this one from chewing on the bench. Unfortunately for me, someone picked my pocket. I did call the police and report it, but I don't think anything actually happened with that. I'll have to be more careful from here on out.
On Sunday mom really wanted to invite all my extended family over, well not all of them, but my dad's brother and his kids. So she did, she also was going to call dad, but he didn't show up, so I'm not sure it actually happened. Anyway, over came Ame and his husband Ricky and their 4 alien kids. At first I thought Arabelle was really cool. We started talking, and it's too bad we are related because I think she is the type of girl I want...family oriented, no career expectations, black hair....but alas she has not appeared yet. Anyway, at first Arabelle was really cool, but apparently she wasn't a fan of my pranks and she started an out and out fight with me. Her twin brother though, he was pretty cool.
During the party Ayeka had her kittens. She had four of them! It didn't seem like she was that big, but out came these four little kittens. We named them Rena, Maddy, Charolett, and Jade. There were 3 girls and one boy. I called the shelter and had them taken right away. You never know when someone will need a kitten in their homes.
With mom and I understanding each other a little bit more our relationship has improved. I do feel grateful to her for what she has done for me so far, even if I haven't always liked her method's. I asked her one night to teach me to use the candy machine and she was really happy to do it. I think she wants to pass on information to me.
Anyway, that's really all that has happened around here. I'm busy with school and hopefully will be able to find a girlfriend soon. I keep seeing a couple of other girls on the bus that might be interesting to meet, but so far I haven't gotten up the nerve to talk to them.
