Stage Fright
You've seen so many faces copletely oblivious that
they're staring in desperation of your love.
My eyes gaze up in hesitation
but you only look right through me yet again.
This desolation should never feel like home.
Your insecurities haunt you
but do you really not see
how much they're killing me?
Walk right past me, see right through me.
This viscous cycle never ends.
No where to go, no conclusion.
just replays of this pain over and over again.
I'll start a new rythym tonight,
one that begins with the constant palpitations in my chest.
I'm not reckless.
I'm just overdue for soething I deserve.
This emptiness should never feel like home.
So stand up to the microphone-
& choose;
to perform or choke on your words
cuz in the end loves really just a show.
Your insecurities haunt you
but do you really not see
how much they're killing me?
Walk right past me, see right through me.
This viscous cycle never ends.
No where to go, no conclusion.
just replays of this pain over and over again.
Sing you song- to my melody.
Stage fright kills most new loves in the end.
Grab my hand or flee the stage.
Whether you want to be or not
you're still a part of my show.
Your insecurities haunt you
but do you really not see
how much they're killing me?
"Do you remember when- when we walked those miles on the shore?
No cares in the world, endless time for you to notice me."
Your insecurities haunt you
but do you really not see
how much they're killing me?
