Jasper had a feeling that this would be how things would go down; the weather, of course, had been nice and fair, which meant he was making sure to stay far, far away from associating with anyone in public, particularly a welcome picnic on a lawn. Jasper wasn't exactly here to socialize, anyway (only terrorize...a certain someone). After
checking in with the landlord and moving some of his stuff into the apartment that would definitely get a lot of habitation this summer (especially if this weather kept up), he made a
phone call and then managed to talk one of those really strange squirrels into leaving him alone to
deliver a letter; he didn't know exactly how it happened, but he was pretty sure he'd promised the rodent a bottle of rum upon a successful return. Mostly, Jasper was trying not to think about it. Instead, he was going to focus on trying to find a way to fill up this apartment to make it at least look like a normal life would be happening here.
He was starting with his books. There were a lot of books. When you were immortal and didn't even need to sleep, you tended to read a lot of books...
