(no subject)
So a person begged me to take part in a game. Then they insisted I go to great lengths learning the game world, coming up with a character background, etc. THEN.. they asked me to write up all this stuff ON the character, like motivations, goals, fears, interests, sound of her VOICE.. so finally I got frustrated. Several times I said "Hey, just pick some details for me and I'll roll with it, since you know the world and what fits." but STILL.. it was insisted that I do it myself.
Finally I got really annoyed and said "Look! I don't have time for all this, I thought it was just a simple little forum game.." and now this person is all mad at me and posted this big long pity-party rant on said forum. I explained that I run my own online game, and I'm trying to plan a wedding, and I have a JOB (yeah, I really do despite popular belief. Just because I'm my own boss doesn't mean I don't WORK - I could regale people with a massive portfolio).
Anyway.. yeah, I dunno.. just venting in the only safe place I can without fear of it "getting back".
