In honor of the inagauration of Penn's new president, Amy Gutmann, a free concert was held with the Pat McGee Band and The Roots. The Pat McGee band was ok. They would have been better if I had known some of their music. It was a little rock/pop/country. They had some good stuff. Then The Roots came out. They were so awesome. Probably the best show I have ever seen, which isn't saying much because I haven't seen many... 2, but they were damn good. After the concert I listened to their stuff and I really didn't like it. They are definitely a live band. So if you ever get the chance to see them in concert I highly recommend it... highly...
Before the concert started, Cory, Charles, and I were standing around waiting for things to get going. This guy with a large stack of The Roots' fliers for their new cd came around and gave us each one. Then he pulled out a camera and asked us to take a picture with the fliers. We all posed and everything seemed great. He must have been some guy with the band taking pictures at their concerts for the website and such, right? Well... a little after he took our picture he was stopped by a bunch of guards and escorted out of the area. That's weird... So I am, probably, now part of a perverts collection of pictures of guys at concerts. Great
