(no subject)
I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO WIZARD PEOPLE, DEAR READER ON LOOP FOR THE PAST FIVE DAYS. SOMEONE HELP ME.
I can not say enough how much I adored the Evanna Lynch, the girl who was cast as Luna Lovegood. She was just so perfect! I don't know what else to say about her to explain how much I loved her. I also thought they did a pretty swell job with Bellatrix. Not quite what I imagined, Helena did a fab job being, well, nutzo.
Gahhh, I am practically shaking with anticipation for Deathly Hallows.
A question has been burning by brain for a while now, and I ask every fellow HP fan I know this:
What are your thoughts on the concept of the last chapter (which details what happens to the surviving characters)?
For some, I'm sure this concept is wonderful. It wraps up everything and there's a sense of closure for the series.
I personally don't see it that way, and, yes, it is the fandom-loving part of me that says this. I don't know. I would just rather it was up to my imagination, you know? I'm afraid that it will be a horrible blow to fanfiction writers (particularly of non-canon ships, like my current OTP: Draco and Ginny), etc.
That being said, I have this horrible feeling that Draco will die, and this makes me sad, him being my favorite and all. Voldemort will probably kill him for being a failure at dying, since it's said that Voldemort expected him to die and that he was trying to punish Lucius. Either that, or he'll be a little coward and not stand up to Voldie and become a Death Eater (because Harry, you didn't convince me that he already was one) and get killed by the Order of the Phoenix and whatnot. Or he will join the Order (or at least fight alongside Harry and friends, Order member or not) and get killed by, I don't know, his dad or something. He might even just go into hiding and be found/killed by either side. I just have the sneaking suspicion he will die.
I can really see him joining the Order. Or at least tries to. I'm not saying he joins because he realizes that everything he's been taught since he was born was wrong and all that jazz. That would take much more time for him to realize. He'd probably join because he sees which side is going to win, and sides up with it. I don't know. I do think he's realized he's not cut out for being a Death Eater.
Okay, enough rambling about Draco.
Gah, I have to crank out ten Draco/Ginny fics for 10_inspirations before the book comes out and ruins everything. Because of that, I give you my workspace for the next week:
