(no subject)
Kahimi is watching Tron...she's completely fixated and it's kind of amazing to just watch her watch the television. She's a smart cookie...sometimes she makes my laptop do things that bewilder me just by pouncing or sleeping on the keyboard. She's a future cat.
Virgil and I just got back from the cafe and i'm thinking about how lucky we are to have such giant windows (they're like, 10+ft high and 20+ft wide?) even if our view is of a junk yard. there are actually green things and flowers blooming over the stagnant cars so even that's getting nicer. from the roof it's a postcard shot of Manhattan. I'm liking it here more and more. the main downsides, i think, are the mosquitos, and in the long term possibly the cancer.
I drove around with these "groovy" middle-aged pr0n-producers/ filmmakers looking into properties in Bushwick/East Williamsburg. it was interesting to see my neighborhood from an "old-New York" point of view...and also from a "let's buy real estate" point of view. Based on the conversations with building owners and realtors it sounds like this area will look much different come say...September? Crazy. i think it looks kinda like Eastern Europe right now...JG (one of the filmmakers) said it reminds him of Munich.
what else...i have a new haircut, i fixed by broken glasses with bandaids on both sides, my toenails are red, i'm going to the Catskills again this weekend for modeling stuff, meeting with more publishing people (some of the same ones...at HC HQ) next week, i discovered that there are videos of the other me available on torrent and foreign DVD sites (that was neat)...
oh yay and i have a paid account again. not that i'm utilizing most of the privileges...but it still makes me feel like a fancy lady, y'know?
