THIS WEEK
It seems fantasy and horror have each departed in their own time, and with that the city takes a moment to cool off and settle into whatever passes for normal around here. The only problem's that reprieve doesn't last, and soon enough there's something new stirring in the air - something vaguely unsettling.
Of course that just might depend on which side you're on.
TAG EFFECTS:
♥ My my, your collar's defective! Anything you say or write will be in a language not your own, and you're pretty sure you never knew Al Bhed or French.
♣ It doesn't look like you're much better off, your powers are coming and going in bursts. One moment your abilities are cranked up beyond your control, and then they're gone. Better be careful.
♦ Now you might think you've gotten off easy until you realize what your problem is. Anyone of another suit gets around you, and they'll start experiencing an effect from any week previous. Talk about bad company.
♠ You're flickering between one odd effect and another, experiencing previous curses the collar subjected you to.
EVENTS:
All Avatican soldiers (and OCs) will find themselves branded upon waking, and if you're lucky you might just catch a glimpse of it. Much like the foreigners, Avaticans are rather abruptly bestowed collars, not unlike the marks you recieved upon your arrival. The only difference? Regardless of suit, these collars are uniformly white. Perhaps you'll see a snatch of this oddity when a soldier tugs uncomfortably at his shirt-collar.
If you are a Turncoat, your collar will turn white as well. In addition you'll be safe from tag effects (unless you get near any diamonds) for now.
Those of you who were put in the group of test subjects are also in for some surprises this week; it seems the last number of experiments have left you with some strange side effects this week. You could have any combination of the following symptoms:
Eyes changing color
Glowing in the dark
Loss of sight
Loss of hearing
Headaches
Insomnia
...Are those horns?
Flu-like sickness
Sporradic levitation
And that's not all - a certain General's back and wants to reclaim his city while Commander Lucerne is out on a mission to take over surrounding territories. Watch for a secure broadcast from him. Your collars won't be recording this one, nor will Avaticans be able to hear it. Good news for some of you, bad news for others, eh?
WEATHER:
It's warming right on up, and those Avatican chaps seem to hate it.
ETC:
If you're new to the game or are just otherwise lost, come on down and poke at the mods. We'll catch you right up to speed. If we're unavailable right away, do check out entries under the
mod tag for a refresher, and we'll be along as soon as we can to answer any questions.
We're working back into plot, guys. So if you have any ideas as we get rolling or things you'd like to do, let us know.
Our next A/C will be in two weeks, and will require two things of characters who aren't on hiatus at the time: your choice of any two examples of either journal updates, lengthy threads, or log activity. The mods will have a couple of open logs in the next two weeks so you should have opportunities there as well.
If you come up a bit short, don't fret - just be sure you reply to the A/C if you're interested in staying.
