[ Alarms ring off in her head at the sound of his voice. Hastily grabs her journal and opens it, hoping that this isn't some trick in her head. ]

Hope? Hope!

[ alright, talking book aside. that voice is more important. quickly grabbing his journal and bringing it back into his lap. ]

Lightning? Light, that you? How are you... are you talking through this thing?

Yeah. Look, I know how talking like this is weird, but it's apparently the only version of a "phone" they have. Are you hurt?

[purgedhope]

Weird. ( a pause. ) No, obviously confused but I'm fine. Are you alright?

I'm fine as well. What's your location?

[purgedhope]

Let me see. ( he goes quiet, some walking can be heard. ) Um, the city center it seems like.

The square... I was there when I first got here four days ago. So they really were telling the truth...

And you're the first I've heard in four days. [ Might sound a bit relieved, but then again, this is Lightning. ]

Four days, wow. Those few hours for me don't seem so bad now.

( he sighs. ) I hope it won't take long, to find a way to get back that is.

The soldiers around the city made it less boring.
