PLOT UPDATE: PHASE TWO, GET!

Overview:
The following will be occuring around these times. We'll do our best to keep to the schedule, although we want to remain flexible in case any players have ideas they'd like to implement. These are of course always encouraged.

1/11: The army defending Solace will buckle under the forces against them, leaving only Avatican soldiers and the monsters they've brought.

1/13: A strange wave of energy will pass through the city, rendering anyone with a collar unconscious within a given raduis. Anyone belowbround or high above it may escape this energy, but others will promptly fall asleep. In addition, characters that have not come back to life may evade this as well, since they're...not present.

When they awaken they'll find themselves caged in groups we will provide for you first thing on the 13th. During this period you'll be provided with meals, although they'll be less than appetizing, and Academics may inspect the lot of you from outside your cages. They may or may not make derisive comments regarding your appearance.

1/15: An odd broadcast starts over the journals, which you'll learn more about when the time comes. Suffice to say they're the confessions of a doomed man.

1/17: On this day you'll be regrouped according to your actions during Phase One. Indidivuals will be judged based upon the actions they took and whether they stood out in opposition of Avatican forces. We're going to ask you to volunteer in this post for one of the folowing categories for each of your characters:

⇨ Harmless: These characters will be put to work, either restored to their old job or made something of a work-horse. Say hello to supervisors and long hours, because this army's in charge now.

⇨ Useful Powers/Skill: These are people whose abilities are seen as something to be used. Powers that qualify for this are those that could benefit the army in one way or another, so long as they keep a tight leash on you. In addition anyone with expertise in fields such as science may find themselves of interest too.

⇨ Test Subject: For those who seem to fall into none of these categories or whose destructive powers are particularly potent, the Avaticans have decided to analyze them. Powers such as these are of great interest, especially if they can find ways to manufacture them without baubles like amulets. These characters will be subject to collar effects as well as other experiments.

⇨ Turncoat: Rather than an individual whose powers might make them a tool, these people will be offered the opportunity to join the Avatican military. In exchange they may be assured the safety of an individual of their choosing, money, or even freedom from collar effects. Whatever your price may be, you should be aware they'll take measures to keep you on their side.

As a note, collar effects will not always be limited to test subjects, and city-wide effects may still occur since the system confining them to foreigners is now broken.

ETC:
Be sure to reply to this entry stating which group each of your characters should be in or why. We'll link back with the updates on 1/13 and 1/15 but if you don't have an answer to us by then we'll do our best to assign you to a certain group. As a note we're also using this to gauge who's still with us for phase two.

People with a hiatus covering this time period are excused, but if you've a preference as to which category your characters fall under let us know so we can group you accordingly. These groups will exist for a good while.

If you have any questions/comments/concerns/plot ideas, by all means leave us a message here or contact any of the mods. We'd be happy to help you stir things up.

As a final note for anyone just coming into the game or back from hiatus, look HERE for recent entries under the * mods tag.
