[The journal is accidentally opened to the sound of Frederic talking to himself, but it's now getting picked up by the journal. He doesn't even realize it's open either.]

Hmmmm. Perhaps I should charge six for admissions. No no, that's a bit pricey. Four? No, that seems rather low. [There's a sigh.] This charity concert pricing for admissions is ( Read more... )

[He notices the journal open and gasps a little.]

Oh, I hadn't realized I left this open. Though to answer your question, that is correct. It is a charity concert in order to help the city build up resources for the slums area to make it a much better place for living.

It is a special type of concert to raise money for a cause. In my case, it is a musical concert so I may in return give all of the money I raise to the people of Solace so their homes in the slums are much more adequate for living in.

[He gets rather flustered and a bit embarrassed. His voice is a bit shaken and there's some anxious stuttering.]

M-Me sing? Most certainly not. I'm a pianist, not a singer.

[He doesn't sing, it's not his thing. :< Unless he's over some kind of effect or drunk, le sob. Also, have a nice long speech about what pianists are, Roxas.]

A pianist is the master of a wonderful instrument known as a piano. They play various compositions from sonatas to polonaises, though honestly the polonaises were my invention and soon became popular with other composers, mazurkas were also my invention and again became popular with others. However, in all of my days, I've been one for nocturnes and etudes to be completely honest. Those with the polonaises and mazurkas are my specialties, but that is not to say I can't compose other pieces. I've written many a prelude, waltz, impromptu, and so many other compositions.

[Roxas, do you need to have an education on music? Frederic is going to educate you right away. And get you to practice on piano too.]

If you look at it from that perspective, then yes. Although they are only pieces without words, they still have meaning to them.

[Frederic frowns at Zexion, they aren't exactly on talking terms. Or rather, they called a truce.]

An instrumental. Or as I prefer to call them, a composition.

I was a born prodigy, so music came to me easily. Others have had to study its structure for years. There are even those whom don't even care about it at all.

[Roxas, Frederic is beginning to question your upbringing.]

A prodigy is a child with genius knowledge of a specific area of study. My example is I was born with a deep knowledge of how to play the piano and of how to read and write musical sheets.
