In New York.
"Spring Cleaning Open Mike", held at Carnegie Hall.
He's on the East Coast on another errand, and just *happens* to have sheet music and his guitar with him. Of course. No plans involved whatsoever.
Solo musicians or pairs can play. Anything goes, until the last one standing walks off the stage. It's loud, amateurish, crowded, bright, and helluva lot of fun. Been waaay too long!
Oz goes to the office to sign in as one of the participants, and is added to the lineup. There's a coat-check room and areas where you can go to rehearse or tune your instrument. Or point and laugh at the current performer onstage.
