Welcome to my SunDay in the City.

Good morning Nigella and Barefoot Contessa, please help me consider my options for a dinner party tonight!

Hello Mookie.

As I walk my new condo on a sunny Sunday morning I am so pleased with how it is coming together.  This is my new vase and wine rack.

Ahh, my pale avocado living room, a sunny haven in the mornings where I get some alone time before the madness begins.

Look at those eyes.  He's been particularly cuddly and attached to me lately.  Shelter dogs sure can be good for making you feel loved!

Me & my coffee - the day can begin.

I went to wake up the sleep loving fiance and found him already showered and shaving!

After, ready to go.

My choir sang twice today (no sneaking out early) and my brother sang a solo so lots of friends came to "see" him.  Pretty good service, all about the realities of our pluralistic society and what it means to be a truly progressive christian.

My agnostic/skeptic fiance goes to support me and be a part of the routine, but not much more.

Spring in Chicago means the sidewalks are crowded with happy people ready to be outdoors!

Lunchtime at Einsteins, after a stop at Bed Bath and Beyond to exchange some Registry gifts.  I opted for my favorite, Veg Out on Everything.

We got home to discover our darling dog had taken my Protein Powder drink mix off the kitchen table, managed to get it open (it was still sealed) and proceeded to leave Chocolate Fudge powder on our white carpet.  Lovely.

After some clean up and BBB procurements placed our master bedroom is finally coming together.  It's so peaceful for us, yay.

Fiance & I spend some time working through his class schedule for the summer and fall (on schedule to graduate in a year!)

And also work on picking a song from our band list for the first dance.  We're taking very intro level dance classes.

Then I go domestic crazy and make homemade chicken pot pies

and Almond Cake

for a dinner party with friends and their adorable baby Luella.

She's 13 months now and feisty!  Here she is flopping about on my bed and burrowing in the pillows.

After a great dinner and time with friends I switch into real shoes to get some fresh air

Spring Chicago evenings with my beloved and my dog are my favorite, makes me feel like anything is possible.

After some reading in bed and packing my gym bag I am out.
Good night.
