Me: That'll be nice. Do you know what Christmas trees represent?

Pam: We've already got one.

Me: No, I meant do you know what Christmas trees are about, where they originate from?

Pam: No, it's fine thanks. We've got one.

Me: er.. I meant, do you know what they mean, culturally...?

Pam: But we've already got one....

*Both of us shake our heads, thinking the other one is wierd*
