iPod owners, please?

Hi there, iPod owners.

The Citygent is chipping in with his sisters to get his old folks an iPod for Christmas. What is also needed is an array of other hardware to make things absurdly easy for them to use it.

What would you recommend? Bearing in mind that they're a bit doddery and not comfortable with technology, what's needed are things that make life less complicated, not more so.
