I've just come back from the cinema where I'd joined up with Jack and Gareth to watch 28 Weeks Later.
Without a doubt, the best zombie movie I've ever seen! Go and see it!
I don't want to give away plot spoilers, but as per the trailer, London is in quarantine, the US Army having taken over control of the UK, with small groups of survivors from the 28 Days Later outbreak. Basically, it all goes to rat shit and things go from bad to worse. And then worse still. Obviously, this means that the film gets better and better. Interestingly, the film is clearly not big budget, with lighting and only a relatively (by Spiderman 3 standards) small amount of CGI, but this is used to excellent effect and the lack of big, brash budget silliness keeps the film in perfect balance. It's been a long time since I was clapping and cheering at stuff on a big screen. Go and see it in the cinema and do it justice. I'm finding difficulty in faulting it.
