Just wanted to say something to all of you before I head off to work, and considering it's the holidays, the time seems about right.
The past year has been nothing less than the most amazing year I can ever remember having. If someone had told me there would be a year where I would be living it out with friends, getting to go to so many amazing places, being part of amazing events, and just generally taking some of the best life has to offer, I'd have thought otherwise. All I've ever known is the same old apartment, same old family (not that they're old or dull mind you) and the same group of people I've always interacted with.
That is, until I took the plunge and decided to venture out of my comfort zone. And what I've found....wow. Yes, a social platform and the most unexpected of TV shows may have been a factor, but ultimately, it was up to me to venture out and see what I would find. And it's been truly wonderful. Being amongst all of you. We've made many memories together, and there will hopefully be many more to come.
So, to all of you that I've met (and have yet to meet), the ones that I've shared so many laughs, smiles, and even a few heart-stopping moments with, nothing I say can really express how grateful I am to have met you all. I don't know if it's a phrase or something, but the fact that every time I see what you guys are up to lift my spirits, or drags it down & makes me wonder how I can help can't be just a passing interest or just a caring nature. I think that's another level of caring. I think that's what friendship is.
And especially the ones that kept me together when I thought I had completely fallen apart. I don't care if you get sick of hearing it, but you guys really did keep me together during that dark, depressing time, and kept me from doing something I might have regretted forever. You stood by me even when I was certain I would drive you away. That is loyalty if I ever saw it, and it's something I hope I can repay with time, if ever.
I may be constantly working, but I really will try to stay in better touch with you guys. I think it's the least I can do for such an awesome group of people.
So, Happy Holidays to all of you and may you always have what you need and want. :D
